In this talk Dorothy Roberts discusses a new racial politics that relies on re-inventing the political system of rade in biological terms using genomic science and biotechologies. Her presentation is based on her new book "Fatal Invention: How Science, Politics, and Big Business Re-create Race in the Twenty-first Century". Roberts, the Kirkland & Ellis Professor at Northwestern University School of Law, is also author of the award-winning books "Killing the Black Body: Race, Reproduction, and the Meaning of Liberty" and "Shattered Bonds: The Color of Child Welfare"
